Walking within the Treasure’s Fellowship
We have this Treasure in our vessels of clay; within these cracked pots that we are; a people that are weakened; and yet, we are strong in our Beloved Savior and Lord: weak in the flesh that we have; strong in His Strength and not our own. He abides within us and beside us; and we abide in Him alone: a people of His very own. We are walking in the Fellowship of the Treasure, as St. Paul said in his Second Letter to the Church at Corinth, chapter 4: verses 7 through 11:
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence may be of the power of God, and not of us. In all things we suffer tribulation, but are not distressed; we are straitened, but are not destitute; we suffer persecution, but are not forsaken; we are cast down, but we perish not: Always bearing about in our body the mortification of Jesus that the life also of Jesus may be made manifest in our bodies. For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake; that the life also of Jesus may be made manifest in our mortal flesh.”
We are never alone, even though our earthen perceptions are such that we think we are alone. He abides with us and in us at every turn: the Presence of God never leaves us, nor does He forsake us: He is with us at every twist and turn of Life that is in Him alone. How silly of the little soul to think otherwise, when He shows us His Presence in the Way, the Truth and the Life that walks Presently, surrounding us with His Perfect Love.
O, Love of God: open our feeble eyes that we might see you: but, do not show us yourself in the carnal manner of physical eyes: show us your Presence that we might worship our True King and Savior Lord: Mindful of the Presence of you, our Treasure: the Communion of your Person in the Eucharist and the Word of God.
Ah, Lord and Savior: we are such little souls that know your Presence: unguarded souls that show our vulnerabilities so openly: targets for the enemy to strike, we are of necessity in need of our Beloved One at all times and rejoice in the knowledge that your guardian angels minister to us, who are the heirs of your Salvation.
O, we are thankful beloved Jesus; our true King – thankful for your Faithfulness in securing our weakness with your Strength made perfect in our weakness.
We Love and adore you, O Christ: for by your Precious Body and Blood are we given Life more abundantly through our Lord Jesus Christ.
